Understanding Forced Migration
The Council held a forum entitled Understanding Forced Migration, centering the lived experiences of Daniel, Adriana, and Don, and facilitated by Flor. Our panelists encouraged continued support of newly arriving migrant communities and work towards true inclusion in society.
Grupo de Solidaridad Update and Invitation
We invite you to participate in our "Understanding Forced Migration" forum, where the causes of forced migration will be discussed, and how we can support those who are compelled to leave their homes. October 4 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Saint Mark's Cathedral.

Please join us in contacting your state legislators in support of a $25M budget proviso dedicated to the Office of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance in order to support housing, food, employment education, and legal services for asylum seekers.

At January's Grupo de Solidaridad meeting, we were thrilled to welcome Caña Dulce - a multi-generational group who preserves the intangible cultural heritage of Costa Rica through folk dance!
Language Exchange Opportunity
A few people associated with our Grupo de Solidaridad (Solidarity Group) are looking for buddies to practice speaking English. No second language required, but Spanish can be helpful. Reach out to Marina if you are interested.
