a Church Council Drag Fundraiser
Our very queer and trans staff are excited to announce that the Church Council is hosting a Drag Fundraiser: "Clerics, Abbots, & Heretics: Oh My!" Join us on May 18 from 6:00-8:00 PM for a spectacular show!
At a time when attacks against migrant communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and so many others are on the rise, part of how we organize for transformational change toward liberation and justice is through celebration. This event allows us to showcase our talents, spotlight our fabulosity, and sustain the work of the Church Council in the years to come!
In the weeks leading up to our event, leaders from your communities will fundraise to compete for four spots as amateur drag performers. Our top 4 will be put into makeup and supported by professional drag artists King Leo Mane and SirLoin, who will also be performing!

A trans-masc nonbinary producer, headliner, theater actor, choreographer, educator and emcee, they are known asThe LionHeart of Draglesque. As a multifaceted entertainer, King Leo Mane is internationally known for their non-conforming dapper swagger, gravitational stage presence, gender bender appeal and passionate lip syncs.
They are a title- holder and community activist participating in community wealth redistribution for LGBTQIA+ in need and community advocacy within healthcare for marginalized communities. He also facilitates youth programs in partnership with MoPop, Seattle Children's Theater and Rain City Rock Camp. As a self-positive educator, they facilitate self-love and confidence building workshops through somatic practices, shadow work and speech affirmation. He is truly a zoo of artistry at its finest.

SirLoin only uses Grade A Meat and undertaking their favorite pastime: making fun of the toxic patriarchy. Through drag, SirLoin is reclaiming their own masculinity as a trans/non-binary drag king, while poking fun at the male stereotypes we have all encountered.
Growing up in TX as queer and later coming out as trans was really difficult and drag is a chance to reclaim their body and their expression of masculinity. SirLoin is a celebration of the spectrum of masculinity, humor, and trans joy and a reclamation of all things cowboy, daddy, and “male”.
SirLoin sólo utiliza carne de grado A y emprende su pasatiempo favorito: burlarse del patriarcado tóxico. A través del drag, SirLoin reivindica su propia masculinidad como drag king trans/no binario, a la vez que se burla de los estereotipos masculinos que todos hemos encontrado.
