Celebrating Our Fall Fundraiser!

We had an incredible evening at our Fall Fundraiser, joined by 60 people from our partnering faith communities, labor unions, and community organizations! Together, we laid the foundation for a sustainable financial future for the Council, sharing our vision when justice is realized, where all people experience liberation, profound peace, expansive equity, and joy-filled human flourishing.

We are excited to share that together we raised over $16,000 toward our 2024 General Operations, and an additional $5,500 to support the Council into the future through our Capital Reserves Campaign!

However, we have a lot of work ahead of us, both in organizing people and organizing resources. The thread that carries through each of our areas of organizing is clear – from migrant-led change in our communities, to community stewardship of land and equitable development, to prioritizing community solutions over punishment: we have to do it together, and by building collective power, we will create transformational change in our communities.

We need your commitment to join us in organizing resources in order to live into this vision. As we shared at the Fundraiser, this is the season where we determine if we sunset the Church Council. This isn’t intended to be a drive toward self-preservation - this is an invitation to practice abundance.

Our biggest gap in resources this year is in individual and faith community giving. We are working diligently to identify donors who have lapsed over the past four years, as well as to reconnect with faith communities who have given historically but not recently. You can support us by recommitting a monthly or annual donation, and by asking your faith community to support the work of the Council.

Additionally, we have kicked off a three year Capital Reserves Campaign to replenish our rainy-day fund. Help us reach our goal of $50,000 this first year of the Capital Reserves Campaign, for a total of $200,000 over the next three years. Please reach out to share your interest in any of these opportunities!

Thank you to all who made the Fall Fundraiser memorable, including Chef Dayo and DayoSense catering, University Unitarian Church who hosted us, and the Council staff and board!
