2023-2024 Faith Land Discernment Cohort
Over the past few years, the Faith Land Initiative at the Church Council has been exploring with faith communities and community partners the following questions:
Who are we called to be in this moment as stewards of faith community resources?
How can local faith communities embody reflective, relational, and impactful strategies rooted in their mission that center communities most impacted by systems of oppression?
What do we need to pay particular attention to in the midst of the economic, social, political, and spiritual moment we are in?
These collaborations have led us to supporting faith communities in practicing discernment around faithful stewardship of buildings, parking lots, parsonages, land, and other assets.
