Scott Biethan has been active in the community for many years, focusing on fair housing and food insecurity. He is currently a volunteer in an East King County food program, an East King County shelter program, and a housing and education agency that serves rural Guatemalan communities around Lake Atitlan. In prior years he was involved with the organization now known as Hopelink, and has also been involved with the Catholic Community Services shelter program.

During the daytime he is a real estate consultant providing valuation and other consulting services. He has consulted on a variety of housing issues and has a passion for real estate that is targeted on fair housing. Most recently he was in the first Faithland Cohort group and came away with new understandings of old and difficult issues.

Scott is active in his home church in the music program, and plays in an Irish band for fun. He is blessed with three wonderful kids, two amazing grandkids who keep him on the move, and a life partner who is also involved in many of the housing and food programs. We also share a love of traveling to new places and learning about the world around us.
