2024-2025 Faith Land Discernment Cohort Gathers for the first session:"Faith, Race, & Land"

Our November 9, our 2024-2025 Faith Land Discernment Cohort (FLDC) gathered at Queen Anne United Methodist Church to begin their learning journey together! Through the cohort process, faith communities explore:

  • What are we called to be in this moment as stewards of land, buildings, space, and other assets?

  • How can my faith community embody reflective, relational, and impactful strategies rooted in our mission?

  • What do we need to pay particular attention to in the midst of the economic, social, political, and spiritual moment we are in?

This year, we are joined by three faith communities, representing congregations across King County (thank you to Rev. Beth Chronister for the photo). In our first session, we introduced faith-rooted community organizing methodology through an anti-racism lens, our foundations for faithful and equitable land discernment. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on this new adventure!
