Weaving Our Strengths Conference 2018 photos

Our fifth annual Weaving Our Strengths Conference took place at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Almost 200 people from 60 faith communities, 19 denominations/faith traditions and 22 cities gathered for a day of learning and connecting, inspired to share, hear, and weave together “Narratives of Hope.” Eleven workshops were offered covering topics such as organizing and advocacy, equity and racial justice, and spirituality and discernment. One attendee described the conference as “pleasantly challenging,” while another remarked that it “got me thinking in a new direction.”

Thank you to all those who attended – making the day inspirational, thought-provoking, and energizing – all who volunteered, who sponsored, and who helped put together such a wonderful day and sacred space of connection and learning. Special appreciation to Mercer Island Presbyterian Church for hosting, and Ellen Finkelstein as Conference Manager. We hope the conversation continues and expands. Make sure to follow our calendar for events that follow up on topics covered at the conference, along with other events of interest in the area.
