We’re thrilled to announce that our team is growing – doubling in fact! We’ll be able to be more of a presence in organizing to address homelessness and affordable housing throughout King County, and to increase our racial justice work both internally and in the community.
Last week we welcomed Joey Ager as a community organizer and Anya McMurrer and Iris Chavez, both joining us in partnership with the United Church of Christ Justice Leadership Program. This week we will welcome Tara Miller as our Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry intern and in October we’ll welcome Ginger Warfield, joining us in partnership with the United Church of Christ’s Justice Leadership Jubilee program.
Joey, Anya, Iris, and Tara will join our Executive Director Michael Ramos, and Board Vice-President Rev. Dr. Linda M. Smith in addressing homelessness throughout King County using a racial justice lens. Ginger will add organizing power to our racial justice work with congregations.
We’re grateful to the Seattle Foundation and donors to The Rev. Dr. Bill Cate Fund for Emerging Justice Leaders for support allowing us to add these leaders to our team.
