One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism – Solemn Vespers on the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther placed 95 theses or propositions questioning the Church’s use of indulgences on the door of a church in Wittenberg, Germany. That act is considered the “flash point” for the Protestant Reformation. The 500th anniversary observance is an opportunity for Christians of many denominations to pray for each other; to heal old wounds; and to continue along the path of encounter and dialogue.

During this commemoration, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain, Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle, will be joined by Bishop Kirby Unti, leader of the Northwest Washington Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

All are welcome.
