February 28, 2021 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Bellevue First United Methodist Church invites you to get outside or use the internet to explore monuments in our community. Discussion will include sharing of learnings, including how to better understand the power of monuments, and a more in-depth look at 3 iconic local monuments: the George Washington bust at UW, the totem poles at Victor Steinbrueck Park, and the Chief Sealth monument at Pioneer Square.

When you register, you’ll receive some information about local monuments to explore. You’ll also want a copy of the packet available here. The Monument Field Trip package was prepared by Monument Lab, which cultivates and facilitates critical conversations around the past, present, and future of monuments.
