March 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Call of Compassion NW and Paths to Understanding invite you to “Hear Me! Stand With Me! Session #2: Pride and Prejudice: LGBTQ+ in the Abrahamic Faiths, a conversation with those we “other” and an invitation to active partnership.

Hear the personal stories of 7 members of the LGBTQ+ community who are clergy and leaders active in their Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths. How have they experienced and dealt with the challenges of racism and prejudice? What are their hopes and challenges and how might they help us to become allies and learn to work together for our common good? This event will include two breakout sessions to reflect on the stories and interact more personally with the presenters.

Hear Me! Stand With Me! is a series of gatherings that provide an opportunity to hear the struggles of many groups through story, poetry, music and art, and learn what it means to stand with that group to create a better life for all of us. We began with African American and Indigenous communities, and we look forward to continuing it with other marginalized communities in future sessions

We are all in this together and our futures are inseparably bound up with one another.

This event is sponsored by Northwest Interfaith, Paths to Understanding, Interfaith Community Sanctuary, Call of Compassion Northwest & St. Patrick Church
