Excerpts from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1967 “Beyond Vietnam” speech will be read on Sunday, January 7th  at 1.20pm in the St James Cathedral Pastoral Outreach Center (907 Columbia Street). This powerful speech addresses unjust war, racism, militarism, and excessive materialism, issues as important today as they were 50 years ago. Cathedral parishioners and Pax Christi members will take turns reading portions of the speech.  The event honors Dr. King’s lifetime of peace and justice work.
