The theme for the 17th Annual Community Multifaith Summit is “Introducing the Platinum Rule: The Key to Building Community.”

Most world religions encourage their members to live by the Golden Rule. However, it assumes that we know what others would want, while the Platinum Rule encourages us to go further to learn about and try to treat others the way they want to be treated. It provides incentive to open ourselves to those who are different from us and reveals the hidden history of cooperation that comes from relationships of trust.

  • engage with others from various faith and spiritual communities
  • learn how interfaith work has evolved over the past 126 years
  • apply the essential tools of self-reflection, personal storytelling, and dialogue
  • build deeper connections with and commitments to ourselves, our families, our community
