Dear community,

I hope this email finds you and your families well as we continue facing a time of uncertainty together. As many of you all have been previously informed, I’d like to remind you all that after careful consideration from our Accompaniment Core Team, we have decided we will not be doing any accompaniments during the extension of the ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ through May 4. Our first priority is the health and well-being of keeping our community healthy. We will be taking requests on a case-by-case basis in which we will practice flexibility, adapting social interactions, attending to your personal health, and staying in solidarity. This is a rapidly changing situation as national, state and local governments and bodies make decisions. We will keep you updated as things arise.

Meanwhile, it is with great excitement that I share with you the opportunity to participate in a series of three online webinars beginning in late April. You may take one, or all three webinars. Each webinar will train you or serve as a refresher in accompanying our immigrant communities for either Bond Hearings, State Court Hearings, or appointments with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices. If you have had some training already, feel free to join the webinar for a refresher, or take only the webinars you’re interested in.

I hope that you will be able to join us!
