We tried something a little different at Annual Assembly this year. As each member of our community entered the building, we asked if they would like to “Put Their Congregation on the Map”. Through this exercise, we were all able to witness firsthand how the loving arms of our faithful community are wrapped so far around this area, and how much farther we will reach as we organize together.

This year’s Assembly brought together 133 people from 55 congregations all over King and South Snohomish Counties (& beyond!) to hear and share stories, grow in community relationship, and learn from one another in conversation. Messages of inspiration, faith, and the work were shared by organizing partners from across the region, including Pastor Sam Sseba of Prince of Peace Lutheran in Federal Way, The Rev. Dr. Joyce Parry-Moore of St. James Episcopal in Kent, and The Rev. Shalom Agtarap, who is the Associate Director of Strategic Faith Community Development at the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church. Attendees prayed blessings over our Board of Directors and rose to a standing ovation for our new Board President, the Reverend Dr. Linda M. Smith.

We were humbled and inspired by the witness and love in the room, the nearly audible hum of so many joined together in common cause with faith in their hearts.
